Theory 2

The purpose of the Theory 2 session is to develop responsible attitudes to driving. The students must accept accountability for their own behaviour as drivers and their role in situations that arise on the roads, essentially developing a greater sense of responsibility with improved attitude.

Session Topics:

  • Accidents
  • Alcohol and Drugs
  • Peer Pressure
  • Road Rage

And if time permits:

  • Selection of a car
  • Loading Vehicles and Trip Planning
  • Driving Trips

There is currently no written examination for Theory 2; however, students are assessed on their participation in discussions and their display of appropriate attitudes.

The Homework Sheet (pdf 35Kb) (issued at Theory 1) must be completed in preparation for the Theory 2 session.

Students may only enrol in Theory 2 once they have successfully completed their first Progress Review (PR1) through their practical training.

On successful completion of the Theory 2 class, the instructor will sign-off the Certificate of Competency - Theory 2, to present to MVR to book a Vehicle On-Road Test at DTAL’s expense.
