Enrolling
Students enrol in the DTAL Theory 1 class through schools and training organisations listed in the Schedule of Courses - Theory 1. Classes are open to all eligible students, regardless of whether or not they attend that institution. However, class numbers must not exceed 25 participants.
It will cost $33 to enrol in the Theory 1. If enrolment is withdrawn, notice must be provided a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled class, or the fee will be forfeited. Enrolments close 7 days prior to the scheduled class.
Students will also need to provide proof of age (Birth Certificate) and residency, if they are not already enrolled at that institution.
Students under 17 years of age, will need to provide a consent form (pdf 32Kb) signed by a parent or guardian.
On payment of enrolment, students will be issued a current Road User Handbook and a Theory 1 Homework sheet (pdf 35Kb). The completed homework sheet and Road User Handbook must be taken along to the Theory 1 class.
