Apprenticeships and Traineeships in the NT
Apprenticeships and traineeships combine practical work with structured training to give you a nationally recognised qualification and the experience you need to get the job you want. Apprenticeships and traineeships are now available in over 500 occupations in an increasing range of industries.
As of 1 December 1999 the Northern Territory Employment and Training Authority (NTETA) outsourced many of its apprenticeship and traineeship functions to Australian Apprenticeships NT. This occurred in conjunction with the introduction of a new Northern Territory Employment and Training Act (NTET Act).
