12 September National Literacy and Numeracy Summary Achievement Report released
Week 9 15-19 September Schools receive 2008 Student NAPLAN Reports and distribute to parents
Term 4
Ongoing   Schools receive detailed analysis of student results
TIPS provides whole school data reports
Use of data - reflection and planning
Dec - Jan TBA Full report of national data aggregated using student demographics

2009

Term 1
Week 4 Early Term1 School records are as up to date as possible in the SAMS system
20 February NAPLAN School Coordinator details and number of teachers administering NAPLAN return to A & R Team
Ongoing   - NAP Information Sharing Sessions across the NT
- Teachers access DET and NAPLAN Websites for information
- Schools prepare students for NAPLAN eg test environment, practice items, writing rubric etc
Week 9 27 March Applications for participation on the on-line NAP Writing Marking Panel close. (Darwin and Alice Springs centres)
Week 10 3 April Applications for exemptions, parent withdrawal and requests for special provisions close
Term 2
Week 1 14 April Whole school meetings to organise NAPLAN administration
Week 4 5 May Test Materials arrive in schools. NAPLAN coordinators check student list and number of booklets, contact A & R for extra test materials, meet to read administration guidelines and ring A & R with any queries
Week 5 12-15 May 2009 Testing Week - Language Conventions, Writing, Reading and Numeracy Tests
Week 6 18-20 May Schools return all test booklets to Melbourne
