Early Childhood Intervention
Early Childhood Intervention supports young children with a disability from birth to 6 years through consultative assistance to families, carers and teachers. The Advisory Teachers operate in collaboration with many community-based agencies.
Early Childhood Intervention is the planned provision of specialist services designed to meet the overall developmental and learning needs for young children. The aim is to minimise the impact of developmental delay and disability on a child's development and learning.
Guided by the principles of family-centred best practice, Advisory Teachers deliver services in consultation with the family and consistent with their expressed needs and priorities.
