Back to School Payment 2008
The Northern Territory Government's initiative of the $50 Back to School Payment Scheme will continue in 2008, commencing in Term 1.
The payment has been established to help families offset the cost of textbooks, stationery, school uniforms, and other essential school items - the beginning of year expenses that come with providing the best education for students.
Parents or guardians of Northern Territory students enrolled from Year 1 to Year 12 in Term 1 are entitled to receive one $50 voucher per student - to be distributed by the student’s school.
Parents or guardians of Transition students enrolled in a Northern Territory School in Term 1, 2 or 3, are entitled to receive one $50 voucher per student - to be distributed by the student’s school.
An FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) has been developed to help answer parents’ and guardians’ questions regarding the Back to School Payment Scheme. Should parents/guardians have any further queries they are advised to contact each of their child’s schools directly.
