Indigenous Students' Leadership and Mentorship Program (ISLMP)
![]()
The Indigenous Students’ Leadership and Mentorship Program (ISLMP) is an initiative of the $42 million Building Better Schools (BBS) package of initiatives. Its objective is to expand the educational experiences and leadership opportunities of Indigenous secondary students in the Northern Territory.
The program aims to achieve this by:
- Matching students with a mentor who will provide structured support and guidance
- Funding activities or resources that will develop a student’s skills or interests
- Engaging students in workshops and camps that will build their leadership capacity
The program targets Indigenous students enrolled in government schools who demonstrate particular skills or talents or the potential to achieve. By providing the opportunity to work with a supportive mentor, the program will assist Indigenous students in reaching their full potential. Information is available below to find out more, complete an application form or access further resources.
