Projects and initiatives

To meet the objectives of the Indigenous Education Strategic Plan, the Department of Education and Training has identified priority areas, including increased school attendance and increased opportunities for Indigenous employees. An example of current initiatives include:

• Cadetships
• Fellowships
• Gotta go to school
• Indigenous Students' Leadership and Mentorship Program (ISLMP)
• Remote Learning Partnerships
• Scholarships
• Teaching: you can do it

A range of system-wide and school-based initiatives are also implemented under the Indigenous Education Agreement.
