Back to school dates for Term 1

The Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET) has advised parents of students at NT Government schools to contact their school for clarification about the starting date for the 2007 school year.
DEET’s Executive Director, John Glasby, said the starting date for students in Term 1 varies from school to school.
“All NT Government school teachers return to school on Monday 29 January, and while the majority of students will commence school on Tuesday 30 January, some School Councils have supported classes commencing on Wednesday 31 January,” Mr Glasby said.
Mr Glasby said parents had already been advised about the start dates either by newsletter or during the enrolment process.
“Anyone who is still unsure when to send their child to school should contact their school for clarification,” he said.

Back to School January 2007
While the majority of NT Government schools return to school on Tuesday 30 January, some will commence classes on Wednesday 31 January (i.e. NOT starting back on Tuesday 30 January).
