DEET NT Training Awards - free workshops in Katherine

Thursday 14 April 2005

Katherine businesses, apprentices and trainees, VET in school students and training organisations will be given a helping hand to nominate for this year's DEET NT Training Awards at two free workshops being held in Katherine on 21 April 2005.

The workshops are part of a series being held across the Northern Territory and give practical help in preparing nominations for the awards.

The DEET NT Training Awards recognise excellence in vocational, education and training and are a great way to celebrate the training achievements of businesses, staff and students.

Students have the chance to win cash prizes up to $3000 and represent the Northern Territory at the Australian Training Awards in Perth.

2004 Apprentice of the Year, Mark Harrison, said, "The awards offered a great opportunity to meet some of the Northern Territory's leading business people. It felt great to be recognised for the hard work throughout my apprenticeship, opening up a vast range of career opportunities."

The workshops are being held at the Katherine Training Centre in Second Street.

To register for the free workshops contact Jackie Fuchs from Teams for Tasks on 8985 4623, or email info@teamtasks.com.au.
