Teachers' strikes

The Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET) has been advised that the Australian Education Union-NT will hold rolling teacher strikes in Government schools across the NT.
The full-day strikes are planned in each region as follows:
- Darwin Monday 21 March
- Palmerston Tuesday 22 March
- Katherine & Alice Springs Wednesday 23 March
- Tennant Creek, Arnhem and Remote Area schools Wednesday 30 March
This action may affect normal school programs at some schools.
A notice will be sent home to all parents advising the level of supervision available at their school. Parents who are able, may be requested to make alternative arrangements for their children.
The Department regrets any inconvenience that this action may cause to parents and students.
