NT Board of Studies Awards
(1 February - Alice Springs, 8 February - Darwin)
These annual awards are held in Alice Springs and Darwin to recognise Territory students for their academic excellence and hard work throughout their final school years.
ExitArt
(16 February - 27 April)
Exit Art showcases artwork produced by Year 12 visual art, craft and design students in the Northern Territory. The most outstanding works are selected for their excellence, innovation and creativity in a range of modes including painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, printmaking and digital presentations. Certificates of Excellence and Merit in the Visual Arts are presented at the opening.
Scholarships and bursaries
Scholarships may be offered to students preparing to enter higher education or vocational education and training. Student Teacher Bursaries are offered for those undertaking a career in teaching.

National Youth Week

In the Territory, National Youth Week has become the biggest youth celebration where young people get involved in their community, participate in activities and have fun!

WorldSkills National Competition - NT Representation

WorldSkills competitions are designed to encourage young Australians to strive for skills excellence, and are aligned with the training competencies that the respective competitors are studying.

Careers Expo
Careers Expo offers career information and pathways advice to students. Exhibitors include Territory-wide and relevant interstate employers, training providers, government departments and education organisations.

DEET Northern Territory Training Awards
These annual awards honour the top apprentices, trainees, vocational students, Indigenous students, employers, schools, training providers and other people and organisations committed to training.
Try'a Trade

WorldSkills Northern Territory Try'a Trade enables Year 9 students to 'have-a-go' at various skill and trade occupations.
Education Week
(1-7 September 2008)
Education Week is a time for people across the Territory to celebrate teaching and learning in our schools. It includes National Literacy and Numeracy Week, Engaging with Asia Week and Adult Learner's Week.
- National Literacy and Numeracy Week
National Literacy and Numeracy Week celebrates and acknowledges the progress made by teachers, students, individuals and the community towards raising the literacy and numeracy levels of all Australians through a range of activities and awards.
- Engaging with Asia Week
During Engaging with Asia Week, teachers and students across the Northern Territory invite members of their communities to participate in studies of Asia through various cultural, literacy and numeracy events.
Adult Learners’ Week
Adult Learners Week (ALW) is an opportunity to celebrate, promote and advance all forms of adult learning and highlight its value to the Northern Territory community.

WorldSkills competitions
WorldSkills competitions offer young Australians the chance to develop and improve their skills through challenging competitions and demonstrate the importance of pride, dignity and self esteem in each individual's work. Held every two years, the winners of the regional competitions have the opportunity to travel and compete at a national level.
World Teacher's Day
On World Teachers’ Day, Northern Territory students, parents, school staff and the wider community join forces to celebrate the efforts and achievements of Territory teachers.

Youth Business Awards
These awards recognise student achievements in the area of small business enterprise. The awards are open to all Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE) students.
