Corporate plan
The DEET Plan, the corporate plan for the Department of Employment, Education and Training (DEET), was released in April 2006.
The DEET Plan sets out the broad priorities and long-term overarching direction for the whole department. It articulates our values, our purpose, and our departmental objectives, as well as the overall focus of our government – what we, as a team, are working towards.
The essence of the plan was developed through extensive consultation with school and corporate staff across the department through the voice of DEET project and workshops. Representing their respective divisions, executive and managerial staff have also provided further feedback and input into the final framework.
The DEET Plan includes the department’s key strategies and their respective timeframes – the strategies we are all focussed on to fulfil more immediate or shorter-term objectives. These strategies lay the foundations for the business plans for our respective divisions, branches and schools across all regions. (It is the business and school plans that in turn detail the comprehensive strategies and actions we have in place to achieve our outcomes).
Interwoven into The DEET Plan is ‘Our People, Our Plan’, communicating how the department equips and supports DEET staff in enabling us to do our job.
